انطلق مهرجان المانعية اليوم الخميس 16 / 6 / 1440هـ ويستمر على مدى ثلاثة أيام بإشراف إمارة منطقة القصيم " محافظة المذنب " وبدعم من هيئة السياحة والتراث الوطني وبتنظيم بلدية محافظة المذنب ولجنة التنمية السياحية بالمحافظة، ولجنة شباب المذنب، وهو مهرجان يضمُّ أنشطة ترفيهية ورياضية صحراوية، تستقطب الهُواة من الشباب في مدن المملكة كافة ومن دول الخليج ويقدر الحضور بالآلاف ، وبدأ المهرجان من الساعة 10 صباحًا وحتى 11 مساءً، في واحة المانعية السياحية بمحافظة المذنب، أما النشاطات التي سوف يقدمها فهي بطولة صعود التل والإستعراض الرملي تحت إشراف الإتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية ومراقبة الهيئة العامة للرياضة بالقصيم، وساحة السيارات المعدلة ويوجد منطقة عربات الأطعمة والمشاريع الشبابية وركن خاص للسيارات الكلاسيكية، والمعارض بمشاركة الجهات الحكومية والخاصة وفقرات للعرضة النجدية والفنون الشعبية، يُذكر أن الموقع الذي يُقام فيه المهرجان يتميز بجغرافيته واستراتيجيته على طريق المذنب الواقع بين مركزين مهمَّين، هما روضة الحسو وأم الحزم المعروفة، ويُعتبر موقعها فريدًا، ويتوسط محافظات القصيم والمحافظات الأخرى مثل الزلفي وساجر والمجمعة والدوادمي والسر وحوطة سدير ، ويعود تاريخ هذا المهرجان إلى عام 2004 من خلال تجمُّع مجموعة من الشباب من هواة الرياضات الرملية في المنطقة والمملكة وخارجها ، حتى تمَّ اعتماد الموقع من بلدية محافظة المذنب في أول بطولة حضرها أكثر من مئة ألف زائر، لتصبح فيما بعد أحد أهم المهرجانات التي تُقام سنويًّا في منطقة القصيم، وعدسة موقع وسناب أهالي محافظة المذنب الإلكترونية تتواجد في كافة أيام المهرجان لتضعكم في قلب الحدث .
