استضافت محافظة المذنب مجموعة خريجي دفعة عام 74 من جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن وذلك ضمن ملتقاهم السنوي بمنطقة القصيم، حيث زار الوفد المواقع السياحية والتراثية بمحافظة المذنب من صباح يوم الخميس20 / 6 / 1439هـ ،حيث كان في إستقبالهم أسرة المجماج يتقدمهم سعادة الأستاذ: عبدالله بن فهد المجماج وأعيان المحافظة بمقر الضيافة الخاص به، تلا ذلك تم زيارة قرية المذنب التراثية وكان باستقبالهم سعادة رئيس بلدية محافظة المذنب المهندس: عبداللطيف الخطيب وأعضاء لجنة التنمية السياحية بالمذنب حيث تجول الوفد بالقرية وإستمع لشرح مفصل عن تاريخها من المرشد السياحي: محمد بن إبراهيم الحواس وزيارة بيت الغيلان التراثي، تلا ذلك توجه الجميع لمنتزه خرطم السياحي بالمحافظة ، مروراً بمنتزه البحيرة الذكية ، وفي ختام الزيارة توجه الجميع لمركز الأمير سلطان والإطلاع على مرافقه والإطلاع على فلم تعريفي عن المحافظة ، ثم تناول الجميع طعام الغداء ..
