لقد قام ثلاثة وثلاثون من أعضاء فرع الجمعية الوطنية للمتقاعدين بالرياض بزيارة لمحافظة المذنب
صباح يوم السبت الموافق 20 / 7 / 1436هـ تلبية لدعوة من سعادة محافظ المذنب
الأستاذ:سليمان بن محمد التويجري وبتنسيق من الأستاذ:عبدالله بن محمد الشايع ابواحمد
عضو الجمعية بالرياض وهؤلاء من جميع مناطق المملكة ومعظمهم من الدكاترة
والرتب العسكرية والمدنية العالية والسفراء يتقدمهم مدير فرع الجمعية بالرياض
سعادة الدكتور علي بن أحمد السلطان وامين اللجنة الاجتماعية بالفرع المهندس فهد الحامد
وقد تم استقبالهم في منتزه المانعيةورافقهم في الحافلة الأستاذ: محمد بن ابراهيم الحواس
مدير الصيانة والتشغيل ببلدية المذنب والمشرف على القرية الشعبية والمرشد السياحي
المعتمد وكذلك الاستاذ ابراهيم الحواس المرشح للإشراف على اللجنة التنفيذية لفرع
الجمعية بالمذنب إضافة إلى أبي احمد الذي قدمهم للضيوف وتولى ابوابراهيم
شرح المواقع المدرجة في هذه الجولة التي بدأت فور وصولهم حوالي الساعة العاشرة
صباحا وحتى قرب أذان المغرب وأبرز تلك المعالم السوق القديم ومقتنياته وبيت
الشيخ غيلان التراثي ومنتزه خرطم وعبروا عن مشاعر
الإعجاب والشكر والثناء في كل مراحل الزيارة وقد وردت اتصالات ورسائل عديدة
من الكثير منهم يشيدون فيها بكرم أهالي المذنب وانبهارهم بما رأو من تطور
بالمحافظة التي لم يزوروها سابقا . وفيما يلي صور شاملة للجولة مقسمة كما يلي ؛
