في مساء يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ١٤٣٦/٧/٢هـ
أُقيم اللقاء الثامن للنخيل والتمور والذي تنظمه غرفة القصيم
ممثلة في لجنة التمور، وقد كان اللقاء
باستضافة أبناء إبراهيم بن سليمان الفايز - رحمه الله -
وحضراللقاء سعادة مُحافظ المذنب الأستاذ/سليمان بن محمد التويجري
وأعيان وأهالي المحافظة وبعض الأكاديميين والمختصين والمهتمين،
وقد أفادنا عضو لجنة التمور في القصيم سعادة الأستاذ/
عبدالله بن إبراهيم الفايز بأن هذا اللقاء يُعد ضمن
سلسلة لقاءات نظمتها الغرفة على مدى خمس سنوات
ماضية بضيافة بعض المزارعين وبحضور نخبة
من الأكاديميين والمختصين والمهتمين بزراعة النخيل
في المنطقة، ويتم خلالها مناقشة العديد من المواضيع
والأمورالتي تتعلق بهذه الشجرة المباركة، مثل الممارسات الصحية
للزراعة وآفات النخيل كالسوسة الحمراء وغيرها،
وقد تم خلال هذا اللقاء مناقشة وعرض التجارب
والأفكار الملائمة (لتحسين جودة التمور وتسويقها) .
