أقام النادي الطلابي بكلية العلوم والآداب بمحافظة المذنب وبالتنسيق مع بلدية محافظة المذنب يوم الأحد 5 / 6 /1435هـ زيارة خاصّة لسوق المجلس الشعبي في المحافظة مع المرشد السياحي الاستاذ القدير : محمد ابراهيم الحواس ( مدير إدارة الصيانة والتشغيل بالبلدية والمشرف العام على القرية التراثية) والأستاذ/ خالد عبدالرحمن النصار (نائب مدير إدارة الصيانة والتشغيل بالبلدية ونائب المشرف العام على القرية التراثية)

وقد تخلّلت الزيارة جولات في ميدان السوق والاطلاع على الكثير من الاثار القديمة التي تعيد لنا شريطاً من الذكريات وتعكس لنا حياة آبائنا وأجدادنا ، ليترسخ في أذهاننا معنى البساطة التي كانت تزرع فيهم البهجة والسرور والقناعة والرضى !

من اجمل الاثار القديمة في هذا السوق الشعبي المتميز منزل الشيخ الغيلان، والذي أخذ فيه الفريق جولته واطلعوا على محتوياته ودقة تفاصيل تصميمه، واطلعوا أيضاً على ما يجاوره في الأسفل من محلات البيع الاثرية المتنوعة ، بعد ذلك توجه الجميع الى ما يسمى "بآم الكتاتيب"
والتي من خلالها شُرح لنا طرق الحفظ والتعليم التي انتهجها أجدادنا في السابق ،
